Valentine surprise from Lucas. We don't usally make a fuss for Feb 14 since our anniversary is the 28th, but it was sweet to get these!

Feb 13 - tabletop tartine

Lucy and I had lunch at this great little place called l'Epicérie. They specialise in tartines. A tartine is basically a slice of bread spread or covered with something (usually butter or jam); this restaurant specialises in all kinds of tartines. This one was "confiture d'oignons aux gingembre et terrine de pintade"; - candied onion and ginger with a guinea fowl terrine

Used my sewing machine on fabric for the first time in ages. Also dug up some old embroidery knowledge for the blanket stitch edge!

I went on a quick walk around the block; to get some fresh air and sunshine. This was my favourite photo of the few I took. I loved the combination of the sign with the flower boxes and the sky reflected in the windows

We had dinner at Stephanie and Guillaume's place. Mat and Cathy drove in from Hauteville. Great night; just hanging and chatting with friends, good food and wine.
